INTRODUCTION :-
Ø Rice is a nutritionally rich food that provides instant energy as its most
important component is carbohydrate (starch).
Ø Rice flour is rich in starch and is used to make various food items.
Ø The protein content in bran rice is between 7 percent and 12 percent.
Ø It is also used by brewers to make alcoholic malt.
Ø It is best suited for areas with high humidity, prolonged sunlight and an
assured supply of water.
Ø The average temperature required for the entire life span of the crop is
between 21 to 37ºC.
