INTRODUCTION:-
Ø The unripe okra fruit is usually eaten as a vegetable.
Ø The fully ripe fruit and the raw fibrous stem are used in the paper
industry.
Ø Being rich in nutritional, taste, medicinal and industrial value, lady
finger is one of the most popular vegetables among all classes of people.
Ø The mucilage from the stem and roots of okra is used to purify sugarcane
juice in jaggery production.
Dried
okra seeds can provide oil (13-22%) and protein (22-24%).
