INTRODUCTION:-

  • Ø  Guava, India's common but important commercial fruit crop.
  • Ø  It can be grown in tropical and sub-tropical regions.
  • Ø  It is a rich source of vitamin C and pectin along with calcium and phosphorus.
  • Ø  It is the fourth most important crop after mango, banana and citrus. It can be grown all over India.
  • Ø  Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Orissa, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are the major declared guava
  • Ø  Since guavas are rich sources of vitamin C, calcium and pectin, the fruit is used in the manufacture of processed foods such as jellies, jams and fruit cheeses.

1]Sowing time :- February-March or August-September is the best time for planting guava.

2] Spacing :- Use 6x6m spacing for planting.

3] Irrigation :- Regular interval as per requirement
