INTRODUCTION:-
Ø India is the largest producer of bajra.
Ø Bajra is the most important food and fodder crop of dry land agriculture.
Ø It can tolerate drought, so it is well adapted to low rainfall area.
Ø It is used for human consumption as well as for fodder, its stalks are used
to feed animals.
Ø Major bajra growing regions in India are Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra,
Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and
Tamil Nadu.
